It has been a while since my last post. I have all these ideas in my head and I can never decide which idea to post. Today I'm starting small....not much writing, just a picture of a beautiful entry way. If I can one day replicate this, I will be very happy.

Chic & Cozy
It's Halloween morning and we decided to make our morning a little more cozy by whipping up one of Julia Child's recipes, Oeufs En Cocotte. Considering it was my first attempt at a Julia Child's recipe, it came out surprisingly delicious. Although any recipe that has eggs, heavy cream, and butter as main ingredients is sure to be nothing but amazing. Even the little one kept looking at my dish while shouting “bite, bite, bite…” Honestly, I can never get her to eat her “oeufs” but today she loved them! Thank you Julia. Not only is your book going to be a staple in my kitchen but it is also one of my favorite books.
I decided to start this blog because of my love of so many things including; family, photography, decorating, France, couture, and cooking. With a family and career there never seems to be enough time for hobbies but having a place to share my experiences will hopefully motivate me to make more time for the things I love. This also gives me a chance to use my hobbies to nurture my family in a unique and special way. Judging by our experience with Oeufs En Cocotte this morning, I’d say this is going well so far.
Another reason for starting this blog is to help other people have the finer things in life on a small budget. I love being on the web, flipping through magazines, and reading books to help me find inspirations for my hobbies. Once I find something that intrigues me, I am instantly on a mission to replicate my findings…always at a lesser cost of course. It’s fun to have hobbies but we don’t want to break the bank while doing so…nor should we. Hobbies are meant to be a fun way to pass time and enjoy life. My new motto is “love the life you live…live the life you love”. We should all be able to live this way without limitations…so this is my way of helping others achieve this way of life. I’ll post findings, thoughts, bargains, recipes, decorating tips, photographs…and whatever else intrigues me. I hope everyone enjoys…I know I will…and hopefully my family does too!
